McMullen & Wing occupies a large industrial site on the banks of the Tamaki River in Auckland New Zealand with deep water access leading directly to Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.
With five construction halls in four separate buildings, plus full engineering, electrical and joinery workshops, design office and administration block, we have ample facilities to accommodate the project. As all facilities occupy the same site, communication flow remains simple and client visits can encompass the whole project within a time efficient schedule.
All of our main construction halls have overhead gantries and are accessible by our 60 tonne travel lift. New and refit superyacht projects use our dedicated 300T slipway. Deep water marina on site provides for all-tides secure mooring of new and visiting vessels.
Our construction process starts at our CNC (computer numerical control) plasma cutting machine. Within the same building we have a large adjacent workshop space for assembly of metal structures in sections. On larger projects, these sub-assemblies are transported across the site to one of the main halls; for smaller projects the entire build can be completed in the same building.
